it should be muslimaphobia if anything. there are people who are bigoted against muslims as people and should be called out for that.
However shutting down any honest discussion on Islam and the fact that it is the constant in a part of the world that is significantly more oppressive and violent than any other (outside of Sub Saharan Africa perhaps) is counterproductive.
When you do that you take away the voice from the muslims who are willing to speak out against that same oppression they once had to live through themselves.
I find the fact that people call Maajid Nawaz a bigot hilarious and sad

Hell, even the Saudi Arabian government would love to give the middle finger to Sharia law if there wasn't a contingent of radical clerics that would violently revolt the second they do so.

While fascinating, this study is another example of how uninformed people are across the world.

"At the same time, the survey finds that even in many countries where there is strong backing for sharia, most Muslims favor religious freedom for people of other faiths."

Sharia Law cannot exist if there is religious freedom for people of other faiths. The only reasonable conclusion you can draw from this study is that most Muslims do not even know what Sharia Law is.
