DL coach rumor

in Hardcore Husky Board
KG is hearing Ikaika Malloe will be our new DL coach. Currently holds the same title at Utah State.

Don't know much about him but Kim's sources are always wrong so take this with a huge bowl of salt.

    As long as he refrains from organizing more betting pools, then this is a pretty good hire. He has an extensive resume working with the DL and special teams, shores up our Poly pipeline, and he's an alum to boot (not that that really makes a difference).

    He was a finalist for defensive line coach of the year last year, but who knows.

    He was a finalist for defensive line coach of the year last year, but who knows.
    The basement has been set by smith and pease, so all he can do is go up. And it's always good to have a native islander on the staff. Especially at a trench position.

    really. It seems like there was more of a rush in the days of the big black DLs. Throw in your occasional Entman etc, of course. For 10 years after RN started the poly Dls there was no fucking pass rush. Nothing.
