To be honest Slingblade is doing way fucking better than I thought he would.
Pretty much a lock for three 10 win seasons, a conference championship, NC appearance, Rose Bowl win, and more than likely three bowl wins. The Heisman is a player award but you still have to give Slingblade credit for it happening under his watch.
He's the favorite for coach of the year right now too.
The two plunger games by a basketball school and a team that just left the MWAC is bullshit, but the overall body of work and no signs of the wheels coming off at the end of year three means we were all wrong about him.
If he fires/demotes/promotes Don Pellum out of the D-coordinator role and makes a solid hire then he is just a good coach.
I am quooking. When you finish 9-3 after a 3-3 start with wins over Stanford, USC, ASU, UW, and OS that's a damn good season after losing the best player in the game the year before.
