I have never heard anyone other than Half Brains blame the UW's football downfall on Emmert. He destroyed a prominent football program and nobody says "boo".

Curious where he was a disaster. Tyrone was a disaster, but seriously interested on why Emmert was.

Explain to me how he was a bad president? Remember it was all Turner's fault that Ty was hired! You better not lay that on Emmert!

You know how upper management works........You let your managers do their jobs and hold them accountable.

Turner was hired before Emmert. He let him make the call and then held him accountable.


You said he was a disaster as a president. The football program was only one department of many at UW.

How was he as a fund raiser? How was he as a president for every other department ?

If you really want my honest opinion.........You've taken a stance to look cool with your buds who hate Sark, hope he fails, and are just angry and bitter. I'm guessing you're taking grief for subscribing out here and justify it by giving us crap, sharing your password, posting elsewhere under an alias and repeating the same 7 inside jokes again.

Threads like this is why I won't be posting here much longer unless DJ gets me my own board. Yes, I do call him DJ. That way there is no confusion when I am talking about Don James, who I know well and often golf with. Mark Emmert is the best friend of football UW ever had as well as being an excellent academic President and a great fundraiser. I wrote many a check after being persuaded by ME. I like to call him ME so there is no confusion when I am talking about Mike Eruzione who I often play hockey with.

As an aside I remember telling Al Michaels in 1965 to be prepared for the 1980 Olympic Hockey tournament. I'm not going to say I came up with do you believe in miracles, but I did.

It is silly for you losers to sit here whining about a university president because the football team didn't win enough games. You clearly lack perspective. If ME is so bad, why did the NCAA hire hi to salvage that organization?
