If I compliment Sark for hiring Wilcox, am I a Doog?

In 2011, Holt's defense gave up 467 points, 36 per game.
Last year, 314 points, 24 per games.
When you look closer the picture is even more impressive.
In 14 games, Wilcox’s defense has held the opponent under 20 points 9 times. (USC scored a TD on a blocked punt). Let me say that again: under 20 points nine times.
In the Apple Cup and the Vegas Bowl, turnovers and kick returns gave our opponents short fields, or we may have been under 20 in those games.
Against Oregon, we gave them a TD after a fumbled punt, they got a pick 6, and we gave them a short field after a Price fumble, all in the first half. While the game was still competitive, the defense wasn’t the big problem.
Only twice has our D looked really bad, against LSU and Arizona.
Hiring Wilcox and the rest of that D staff is the best decision Sark has made so far.

Pressing.

Epic. Levels. Of. Pressing.

Still learning the boundaries here.

Time to step away from the keyboard.

I think we literally posted that at the same time.jmc84 said:Pressing.
Yeah, this is the kind of pressing I have only read about since IMALOSER got ran. -
Youre late by about 4 years if you want to fix your doog repute.

Well, he could unfuck himself I suppose, but I think partial Doog is just in his genetic makeup.PostGameOrangeSlices said:Youre late by about 4 years if you want to fix your doog repute.

Auburndoog has reached IMALOSER territory in this thread.

Pressing more than degenerate gamblers on the back nine

Thus far hiring Wilcox was a good decision.Auburndawg said:Because what Wilcox has accomplished is pretty amazing.

The bad part is that he kept Holt for 4 years...and still keeps cozzetto. -
Whoosh? I hope were being being whooshed.

Has it been 14 years DNC? I believe it has.
Thoughts on the center Romar signed today? -
Complimenting Sark is not how I would express gratitude if such is warranted for the hiring of Wilcox. With at most a few seasons as an assistant coach and OC on his resume', Sark obviously didn't know how to hire assistant coaches, especially on the defensive side of the ball, when he himself was hired as Husky head coach to replace the fraud. To not account for Sark's three wasted years on defense while giving him a Mulligan would be the doog thing to do.
As a DC, Holt was worse than any clown Brown just fired at Texas and it took Sark three seasons to live up to his responsibility and correct his severe and obvious defensive coaching problem. We don't know if Sark might have been constrained by pool boy from firing Holt (the highest paid college assistant when hired) because of the wasted money, but that does not yet release Sark from committing the Holt mistake in the first place.
We should be thankful for Sark correcting his error with the hiring of Wilcox. However, it is premature IMO to compliment a head coach for doing the minimum expected in arriving at the point on his head coaching learning curve where he could realize that defensive changes were imperative. Wilcox is prime head coaching material himself and may not be around long...... let's see how Sark does with his next DC hire. -
After all these years, you still hate facts just as much as ever:
Wilcox's defense allowed drives of 75 yards, 47 yards, and 42 yards against WSU when one stop would have sealed the game. http://espn.go.com/ncf/drivechart?gameId=323280265
The touchdown drives in the Vegas Bowl were 79 yards, 88 yards, and 74 yards. http://espn.go.com/ncf/drivechart?gameId=323570068
LIPO with Wilcox a bit more. 13 games isn't enough to crown his ass. -
Tailgater, in all the years we have been comrades I have never once understood a single thing you have written. Not once.

The fact that @Dennis_DeYoung has Aubbie's back in this thread arouses me for some wildly inexplicable reason.

I Sarked it. 7 tries from inside the one and nothing to show for it.TierbsHsotBoobs said:

Coincidentally, that's how come Lily Jang left Sark for Houston.dnc said:

So Hills, you don't think Wilcox has caused a massive improvement with the defense?
-
For fucks sake, LIFPO or DIAFF

Wilcox is to Holt as Sark is to Ty. He's done some good things and some terrible things so far with the defense.Auburndawg said:So Hills, you don't think Wilcox has caused a massive improvement with the defense?
Follow Southerndawg's advice: LIFPO or DIAFF.

Josh Wilcox is one of the best decisions that Sark
was forced tohas independently made
