Mark Helfrich Fucking Stupid, Todd Graham Even More Fucking Stupid

Helfrich and Frost ran the ball 28 times in a 3OT game, for a 6.64 YPC average, 41 pass attempts.
Royce Freeman touched the ball 15 FUCKING TIMES, and still rushed for 119.

Obviously Oregon was outplayed all night, but Arizona State tried to give that game away on numerous occasssions.
It was a really weird game. Arizona State is one of the least penalized teams in football, but not last night. It also seemd like every penalty was at a crucial spot. For example the personal foul penalty when Oregon's drive had stalled. The illegal procedure penalties usually aren't a huge deal, except it seemed like they showed up everytime ASU got into the Oregon red zone.
Bevill thought the play calling in the thrid overtime was horrible. ASU is running down Oregon's throat, and they decide to throw not once but twice inside the three yard line? And even worse, they same exact route? What was even more amazing the receiver was open, but he didn't look for the ball. -
Land Clark gave Mark an assist last night for sure
And yeah, the only coaching staff that is worse than UO's was ASU's. Just horrible. -
Ducks caught ASU on a blitz and housed one, other than that not a great running performance.
They probably saw on film that ASU has really stymied SC, UCLAs and Utahs run games. My Broons lost to ASU largely because of how stubborn they were with the run, and SC ditched the run early. -
Now helfrich can say he salvaged a down year where his qb was injured, on top of the last two seasons. It really is beautiful.

Pretty sure they housed two.BallSacked said:Ducks caught ASU on a blitz and housed one, other than that not a great running performance.

Not an original thought, but imagine Oregon without VA. They'd be 2-6. Absent another VA, next year could be ugly for them. -
ASU missed 3 FGs including a chip shot.
If only one of those went in... -
...and if Carrington catches a wide open TD...whatshouldicareabout said:ASU missed 3 FGs including a chip shot.

From what I saw, Oregon will beat OSU to finish the final four games at 1-3 for a "solid" 6-6 mark. It's going to be fun in Vegas, or feel good fighting hunger. Either way, it will be special.

When you give up a KO return TD, losing the turnover battle, and miss 3 FGs, it's easy to have a ton of yards be for nothing.
-
Oregon loses if Helfrich doesn't go for it on 4th and 1 near midfield in the 1st quarter
They score on the play
Petersen is a pussy -
That game was example after fucking example of the ineptitude of the PAC 12 both in terms of coaching and officiating. From the calls on the field to the reviews, it showed all 3 people staying up late on the east coast how shitty PAC 12 refs are.

I don't know what game you were watching, but I just came back from the retard farm and even they're calling Hefrich vashonFS for not giving the ball to his backs more than he did. What part of just shy of 7 ypc did you miss mensa?BallSacked said:Ducks caught ASU on a blitz and housed one, other than that not a great running performance.

There's this thing called a box score on ESPN.com. Here, I'll past a portion of it for you:
Oregon Rushing
CAR YDS AVG TD LONG
Royce Freeman 15 112 7.5 2 64
Kani Benoit 3 66 22.0 1 62
Darren Carrington 1 21 21.0 0 21
Bralon Addison 1 2 2.0 0 2
Vernon Adams Jr. 8 -15 -1.9 0 10
TEAM 28 186 6.6 3 64
When you have the running backs Oregon has, and they're actually making yards, you keep feeding them until the other teams adjusts to take it away, at which point other things will, no doubt, be available. -
This sounds kind of doogy; almost as if you want Helfrich to be fired or something.greenblood said:Obviously Oregon was outplayed all night, but Arizona State tried to give that game away on numerous occasssions.

Oregon did plenty to help out ASU. Carrington dropped a wide open TD, and their stupid fucking coaches went away from the run when it was there pretty much all night. Plus, those SUPER FS trick plays, which blew up, and the wildcat to Addison, which also blew up.
The bottom line is you had two teams that can't play D, and one of them has to win. That's the only explanation you need for that game. The rest is irrelevant. ASU didn't hand the game away any more than Oregon did. It's a game set up so that someone has to win eventually. -
So why wouldn't I want helfrich fired then? Of course I do. You say that my post was "doogy" but spent the entire post supporting it. I'm confusedcreepycoug said:
