Boise State ran a simple but effect offense for years under Petermon. QBs would rip it and RBs could run. Who was the OC? Where is he now? Why the fuck aren't we(?) running the same thing here?

Petersen was OC before being the HC, then when he got hired Harsin took over at OC.

Im not sure I would call what Boise did simple. Maybe my memory is off but they ran lots of motions, shifts, trick plays, etc. That was the source of their advantage when facing teams with more talent.

Their advantage was confidence. They played shit teams for 9-10 games a year and put together a good string off beating better teams. Confidence is dangerous and Boise St. held it well. Sprinkle nice wins in between ass rapings over shitty teams, and you play like you expect to win. You get weeks to hone your skill against garbage. Then you win. Put that team in the Pac 12 and they are average. I fully believe Pete left because he knew that success wasn't sustainable.
