Luke Wattenberg, Army All-American

That's two in two years for this staff on the OL (Henry Roberts).

Eifler has already accepted and it would be a crime if McGrew didn't get invited to one.

Saw some senior film of Wattenberg and he looks terrific.

We can whine and cry about scheme as much as we want to, but the reality is that the greatest schemes and plans in the world can't overcome a shit sandwich ... you need to have Jimmy's and Joe's COMBINED with coaching/scheme to win at the highest levels.

There is a glimmer of hope if we can get the offense corrected. Yes, I hear Race's voice already saying as soon as the offense is fixed then something else like the special teams will collapse.

But even the most cynical among us have to like this kind of news.

What has special teams done this year to be considered something other than a collapse?

    Missed FGs and big returns...SPECIAL.

Roberts wasn't even the best OL in his class, what makes you think twattenberg is a player?

Because he looks like a really good player. He has great bend, really quick feet and he moves laterally well when pulling. He is a dynamite prospect.

Yes, Adams was the best OL in our class last year, but Roberts was also very good.

Yep, there is nothing we could have done the past two years. Every coach in the country would do this badly. Petersen's offenses have sucked dating back to Boise State, but he didn't have any talent.
