I didn't watch the games tonight because I actually had shit to do, but Christ.... Between the early games and seeing the scores, College Football is a fucking dreckfest. Other than Michigan and maybe Baylor, there isn't one team that I actually want to watch.

I don't get this comment. What do you want? 1 or 2 teams clearly better than all others? IMO, parity makes sports interesting as hell. Look at pro sports leagues. The NFL is clearly the most compelling of the bunch. They are also the only one that have a hard salary cap, which promotes parity.

The Oregon/WSU was really entertaining, as was the USC/UW game, the Tenn/Georgia game, the Utah/Cal game, the OK/Texas game. Far from perfect by any of the participants, but to me, that does not distract from the entertainment.

Parity is great when teams are actually good. College football is shit right now.

The last part of Oregon/WSU was good. Let's face it, if we didn't have a vested interest in USC/UW, it would have been dreck. UT/GA was good during the last half of the fourth. Utah/Kal sucked and it was a close game.

Parity works to a degree, but college football relies on tradition. Nobody cares about Baylor scoring 60 points on Kansas. How much time did ESPN give it? 15 seconds?

We prefer football games with a hint of defense.

I promise you Baylor is fairly proud of their effort yesterday ...

Saw a few of them make their way over to Manhattan last night

If you enjoying reveling in the pain and displeasure of others, college football is awesome right now.
