College Football Has Never Been Worse

I didn't watch the games tonight because I actually had shit to do, but Christ.... Between the early games and seeing the scores, College Football is a fucking dreckfest. Other than Michigan and maybe Baylor, there isn't one team that I actually want to watch.

I don't get this comment. What do you want? 1 or 2 teams clearly better than all others? IMO, parity makes sports interesting as hell. Look at pro sports leagues. The NFL is clearly the most compelling of the bunch. They are also the only one that have a hard salary cap, which promotes parity.

The Oregon/WSU was really entertaining, as was the USC/UW game, the Tenn/Georgia game, the Utah/Cal game, the OK/Texas game. Far from perfect by any of the participants, but to me, that does not distract from the entertainment.

Parity is great when teams are actually good. College football is shit right now.

The last part of Oregon/WSU was good. Let's face it, if we didn't have a vested interest in USC/UW, it would have been dreck. UT/GA was good during the last half of the fourth. Utah/Kal sucked and it was a close game.

Parity works to a degree, but college football relies on tradition. Nobody cares about Baylor scoring 60 points on Kansas. How much time did ESPN give it? 15 seconds?

We prefer football games with a hint of defense.

I promise you Baylor is fairly proud of their effort yesterday ...

Saw a few of them make their way over to Manhattan last night

Kansas State letting players run right through them is not strong offensive execution.

    Hope this helps.

I've enjoyed this season more than any in the last ten years. Enjoying the predictable blows outs by the same 9-10 teams every weekend is Duck Fan mentality. I love it that WSU can lose to PSU at home and then go out and beat Rutgers and Oregon on the road......USC can butt fuck ASU one week in Tempe and get embarrassed at home to the UW with a bunch of freshmen and sophomores.....Michigan is pitching shutouts......every week looks like Ohio State will lose. I could go on.

If this is all wrong, I don't want to be right.

Fuck us and all who revel in the pain and displeasure of others.

Bad football can be highly entertaining

the only real problem with the "parity" if you will, is that the rankings still matter so as long as Ohio State barely wins they'll be the top ranked team, etc.

We need promotion/relegation, ban scheduling below FBS (real D-1), and trim down the number of teams in the top division. 16 team playoff as well in each division.
