also, Kessler threw a pick that was dropped by Gardenhire and the next play he threw a pick to Jones. Kessler was not comfortable taking time to get the throws right because he probably had visions of Victor, Qualls, and Gaines piledriving him every second.

Is that the play where Cravens hit him? I saw that and was puzzled how that wasn't called but Victor's hit was.

"Prison Yard Defense" Swaye -- that's a quite lucent description of the defense against SC. We are starting to play dirty on D which is what Pete is known for. The late hit on Gaines at the end of the half was a thing of beauty with 1 second left. Virtually no penalty in reality and actually made the kick harder. Great coaching. Dooging it up but my god when these defensive players get older over the next coule years. The working theory, too, is that these boys can play prison yard defense without being the kind of guys who normally end up in prison off the field.

Can't remember who got him, but I think it was on a deep pass to Perkins in the 2nd half. That was WAAAAY worse than what Victor did.
