Petersen as a motivator.

Talked to a high school coach (from a school on the east side) after the game. He said that there is growing consensus that Petersen is recruiting well (thank God), but is not a great motivator once the players are in the program.

At boise the players had a natural chip on their shoulder because they were passed over by major conference programs. It was easy to motivate them because they were pissed when playing the bigger teams. At UW a lot of the players had other options, so they don't have the same chip on their shoulders. They need to be motivated.

Again, comments from one high school coach. Take it FWIW.

Oh, and by the way, Babushka sucks balls and Browning choked. Just had to throw that in there.

I don't get this at all. Player development has been one of the major strengths of the program since Petersen took over. Maybe MIckens or Daniels have struggled to stay motivated but the vast majority of the players have worked hard and come to play. Scheme and x's and o's are a problem. Motivation and development do not seem to be a problem to me.

But great "What I'm Hearing" as always.

When playas start seeing people get drafted in the first and second round ... it becomes pretty quick motivation.

It is well documented that Peterman produces NFL ready playas ...

Me thinks East Side kids are lazy by nature.

    This is so fucking stupid.

So an east side high school football coach is critiquing a 2x national coach of the year in college football? Got it.

And I don't see any issues with players being motivated at UW. They have played their asses off this year. I see youth and shitty playcalling as the issues. But I'm sure the east side high school coach knows best.

Wouldn't Don James have had the same problem?
