Overall it was an optimistic podcast. With former Huskies Kyle Benn and Mike Monan, along with Derek Johnson.

If we only score 14 points against Cal's lowly D then Petersen should be summarily executed fired.

I was waiting for the anti-Lindquist package angst to start and once it got kicked off it didn't disappoint. Still have no idea what's going on there and if indeed it's setting up a trick play -- it isn't worth it.

DJ you should have laced into Benn a bit more about DWash. Everyone knows he has incredible gifts, but he's never been a good tailback.

Maybe he is a victim of his own potential, but all you need is the gif of him going out of his way to fly into the USU defender like a heat sinking missile to understand the reality.

He has a role on the team and is a very dangerous weapon, but it's not as the number 1 running back.

    Edit: Monan belongs here.

It's been pointed out to me that I said Reggie Miller knocked Oregon's Chris Miller out of the game in 1986. Of course, I meant Reggie Rogers.

They need to put DWash at wide receiver and be done with it!

I haven't been able to listen yet, but it's just dumb. Browning needs to take every snap. We don't need some gimmicky shit to be effective near the goal line.

Actually I disagree, there is a role for him as a 3rd down back and situational with a component play caller or a 2 back set. I honestly can't visualize DW as a true RB or WR. He has value on this team clearly but it's not as a "grind it out tuff yards" back.

As a true RB or WR, I'm afraid he is a potentially couch candidate

Kyle made a great point talking about how the swing passes, screens, etc. supplemented the run game.

Defenses are going to continue for at least the near future to crowd the line, take away the run, and force Browning to beat them with his arm. As long as we stick with the run enough to keep it in people's mind (we ran 35 times versus 31 passes), we'll get people to push up. This will continue to open up opportunities for relatively safe passes that will act essentially as running plays.

Speaking of that, best part of the game was the very few WR screen actions that we were seeing. Maybe there is hope for Babushka after all.

Benn with the sexual tension moment de jour. He's rapidly turning into my favorite Podcaster, behind Chestie, roadie, derek, monan and Cornell when he can stay awake.

Above list in no particular order.

I like Mike too, he had me when he mentioned his 2nd slight drunk of the day last week but Kyle closed the gap this week when he talked about enjoying the Stanford win capping a great Saturday.

Clearly abundance as a fan of both casts. We are counting on lil Jimmy getting his sleep ;) <----
