Rewatched the scrimmage (TLDR).

Even by FCS standards, Sacto State is terrible. They completely quit in the second half, which makes it especially perlious to draw any conclusions from what we saw. Pool Boy isn't getting nearly enough grief for scheduling this disgrace of a "game."

I hate seeing Wooching ever get on the field. Much less starting, as he did Saturday. Feeney entered the game after the first set of downs, which makes me worry his attitude may be falling out of favor with the coaching staff. This is worrisome. Feeney is one of the most valuable players on defense this year. (Incidentally, I still prefer Littleton at BUCK and Feeney playing in space.)

Though overshadowed by Gaskin, Dwayne Warshington did some nice things in this game. In the second quarter, he notched probably both the best block and the bet catch I've seen him make as a Husky. Two TDs runs too. Whoever compared him to Rankin pretty much nailed it. Dwayne has some limitations, including continuing to miss some blitz pickups, but he's still an asset. Dotson may have a role to play, too. Seems like Coleman and Cooper are getting passed by, and McGrew isn't even on campus yet.

McGary played a lot, and was moving guys around pretty well. I bet he starts by conference play. I can't imagine Clay holds onto the starting SS job much longer, either. Turner and McIntosh both look better.

Budda Baker. Damn.

Others have already commented on it, but Kevin King looks great at corner. Dunno what El Siete was thinking playing him at safety.

Tupou at fullback is a nice short-yardage look.
