We will realize by the end of the year how much Cyler Miles sucked last yearI try to stay away from the woulda shoulda coulda game but it's hard for me not to look back at last year and see 3 games that we lost due to just flat out incompetent QB play. By the end of the year, Browning's ability to throw a simple slant and hit a receiver in stride will be an earth shattering moment to some after last year. Mark my words that by the end of the season the QB play for this team will be the least of our worries going forward.
Jonathan "Babushka" SmithMany are already carrying the pitchforks on him. The jury is out. Hard in my mind to fairly judging him with the one arm behind the back that he had with Miles. However, another shit show this year will force tough questions to be asked of Petersen. I'm 60/40 right now on it being Miles and the QB situation. May be one of the most interesting storylines for this team.
Youth on the roster leading to some road bumps early in the season@Dennis_DeYoung had a great post the other day comparing Pete vs. Seven recruits. When you look at the offensive side of the ball, you have a true frosh at QB, by the end of the year a true frosh probably at RB, 2 true sophs at WR, and youth all over the place on the OL ready to break through. DL is full of soph's and true juniors, LB has some experience but also will be overtaken with the likes of Victor and #MyTevis #YourTevis #OurTevis as underclassmen, and our best players in the secondary being true sophs. The USC, Oregon, Stanford gauntlet looks to be testing ...
As the team gains experience, the corner will be turned this seasonWe won't know the corner is turned until we see it. If we're ahead of schedule, it could be as early as the USC and Stanford road games. It could be finally knocking off Oregon at home. I'm thinking the likely spot is going to be getting a very solid win on the road at ASU. Whenever that moment comes, there will come a point in the season where the pieces come together and you can see a path to the top coming. I've thrown out the 2012-2013 TCU seasons in the past. Looking at last year, there were points where you could see that Arkansas was about to turn the corner and when they finally did they went downhill quickly. That's going to happen at UW this year.
We will win 8+ gamesFor safety, I'm going to include the bowl game in this number. But in looking at what I've seen so far, I like our chances to win at least 2 of the 3 home games against Cal (still ranked too high), Arizona, and Utah. Cougs and Beavs should be wins. I do think that we're going to get at least 1 of USC, Oregon, Stanford, and ASU. Win tonight and we'll sweep through the non-conference schedule. IF Browning is who I think he is, and I think he's special, this will be a very strong year.

If we beat Boise then I could see 8 wins:
3 non conf, Cal, OSU, WSU..thats 6...Arizona and Utah or one of those plus one upset gives you 8. So lose to Boise and you can have 7 wins that way. Basically what Tequilla said but I'd say 7-8 instead of 8+. Lose to Boise and 7 is the max imo.
I think Browning will be very good but this game against Boise could be rough. They do have a good DL, it might be one of the best in the pac12 and its going to give our OL & RB problems.
Even 7 plus a bowl win gets to 8. I like this team to be 8-5 or better this year. That'd be a very good year.
