Why the NFL > college. A great college game is the best, but try are few and far between. Horrible defenses, shitty non conference schedules, and teams that air it out 70 times every game. The college game has been in decline for awhile.

There are so many NFL teams that are borderline unwatchable....

When those teams play each other it is nap time in the Coke household.
Most of those teams are actually capable of beating a good team. There are probably 80-90 FBS teams that are unwatchable. UW is one of them. If I were not a UW fan, I would never watch them.

If you are telling me you enjoy watching those teams play each other then more power to you.
I agree that there are a lot of teams in college that suck, but there are a lot of teams in the NFL that suck too and are boring as shit.
If I watched UW as a fan of football in general? Especially last year, my immediate thought would be this team is a disaster and the QB position is a raging dumpster fire with 50ft flames.
Then I would look at the Uni's and start vomiting and shaking violently. The level of violence would eclipse the movie Eastern Promises.

Great post.... But the majority of NFL QB's suck too: TYROD TAYLOR IS STARTING FOR THE BILLS, TYROD TAYLOR.
And NOTHING causes for shaking and vomiting than the Redskins uniforms.
It's really just a matter of taste, like Maltby versus Renton. The simplest articulation of why I prefer college ball came from a wise old coach once, "It's because college kids make mistakes." While I can appreciate the level of skill, the extremely narrow margins of failure and success in which the greatest athletes and coaches in the world operate to find wins in the NFL, I find it far less entertaining. Plus the institutionalized parity of a fixed number of players on a fixed number of teams paid in the aggregate a fixed amount, it's just not as interesting to me. It might be because I don't know enough to see when a receiver breaks a route off at 10.5 yards versus 10.

If watching teams score isn't your thing, you should just watch soccer.
Watching dominant defenses beat the shit out of offenses is good to watch too.
There are plenty of disastrous defenses and uniforms in the nfl. The Denver Broncos were one of the original dreck unis. The nfl is more of a passing league these days than it is in college.
There's a decent chance of seeing a tight game between a playoff team and last place team in the nfl. This is a stark contrast to college where a top 10 team like 2014 Oregon is going to annihilate a even a mid tier team like 2014 UW 99.5/100 times.
A tight nfl game isn't usually an entertaining game unless your a fan of one of the teams. They tend to be boring as fuck...inept, conservative offense, a lot of punts, and playing for field position.
Blowout college games aren't a lot of fun unless you're a fan of the team that's winning.
It's kind of a wash for me. I don't rate one or the other (bel or college football) as better or worse. Sometimes they're great, sometimes they're just better than a kick in the balls (better than yard work), sometimes they're both unwatchable.

The Horned Frogs have a Heisman candidate at quarterback and a shiny no. 2 preseason ranking, but the main attraction in Fort Worth remains the innovative 4-2-5 defense that’s proven uniquely capable of slowing the no-huddle and spread

Lots of confirmation bias going on here.
