Professors threaten bad grades for saying ‘illegal alien,’ ‘male,’ ‘female’

"Multiple professors at Washington State University have explicitly told students their grades will suffer if they use terms such as “illegal alien,” "male," and “female,” or if they fail to “defer” to non-white students."

According to the syllabus for Selena Lester Breikss’ “Women & Popular Culture” class, students risk a failing grade if they use any common descriptors that Breikss considers “oppressive and hateful language.”

Wow, male and female are hateful? Fuck her.

You should share this with Trump and the Westboro Baptist Church.

They are looking for new material to be outrage about.

    I see a lawsuit coming:

    A) Students who unintentionally (or intentionally) fail to follow these professors' arbitrary rules receive lesser grades than they could've and they / parents are pissed so they sue.

    B) Freedom of speech advocates sue, detailing that banning words which are not considered hate speech is an infringement upon the 1st amendment.

    C) A state think-tank or foundation sues because the state government is providing aid (tax revenues) to a state institution that is restricting taxpayers' rights (parents' children).

I doubt it. If a student signs of up for a gender studies course, they will be expected demonstrate that they understand the material -- and part of the material taught in a gender studies class is how the English language could be gender neutral.

Your idea would be similar to a guy signing up for a French class and crying that he can't answer the questions in English.

If students don't want to learn French, don't take a French class.

If they don't want to learn the current thought in gender studies, then don't take a gender studies course.

Who cares what dykes and faggots in a gender studies class have to do? They took gender studies willingly. They are already fucked in life.

Suing WSU over this arbitrary bullshit makes the situation even worse. Every single person involved in this hypothetical lawsuit should be stoned to death. You could elect not to take these bullshit classes.

But restricting the language does reveal an inherent refusal to allow for rational discourse in the classroom and is offensive to the very idea of a university. The teacher should try to convince the students through rational arguments, not threaten them with lower grades. It is shameful that this person is teaching at a university.

It is pretty wild that students pay a lot of money for the privilege of learning in such an environment.
