Jimmy Cornell reveals his insights with Gold as to the UW QB situation, Chest has a mini-rant, Roadie is feeling a bit doogy with the season starting, Chest talks about recruiting stats. Some more usual shit but no mention of SRS once @AZDuck. @CokeGreaterThanPepsi will be on next podcast.
Fun podcast. Glad you guys are back. Agree that figuring out the QB situation is part of having a successful season. BallSacked may be offended that you called him BallBag. What happened to eating during the podcast? Good stuff, fellas.
I can not recall a year when I was impressed with this teams strength training results. Year after year it looks like we are always the JV team on the field with even our biggest players struggling to fill out their shirt sleeves. It does seem to have improved remarkably since the tyrone years but its still clear that we do not have the same caliber of players as the elite teams in the conference.
When you hear Brock Huard go on his radio show after visiting the team while running his football camp and talk about how there are just one or two guys on the current team that can power clean what he did while at UW- when there were just one or two guys who could not clear that lift- it makes me wonder what they are focusing on. Seriously, its been a long time since I was in HS football weight training, are bench press, squat, and power clean less emphasized now than they were 15-20 years ago? A product of the core fitness craze? I'll stop before things get too homoerotic but I'm tired of always having the weaker team on the field. I want to see our guys push every team around even in a loss.
First off, the audio quality is much improved, thanks.
Not that is matters, but don't sleep on KJCS. He is the first Pete Pick™ after all. As far as spring ball accuracy goes, I believe Browning threw more INTs.
The Wild Swede is a myth. It should be real but it is not.

I think Browning threw the most INT's by a pretty good margin. A lot of those are probably bad decisions and trying to force balls in there.
It's only one practice, but a buddy of mine said Carta Samuels struggled to complete a pass over five yards at the practice he went to. And he does have the LPT kiss of death
Agree with Chest, with consistent 10+ win seasons, Peterman will be nationally formidable in recruiting. Little wiw in that, but they recruit differently than Sark or even UCLA. Far more targeted.
Good chit. Sorry my skype sucks. I downloaded a new version, perhaps that messed it up.
Anyways, Roadie has me doogin a bit now, which upsets me, since I had zero expectations going into the season. Not 10 win doogin', but more like, "Maybe we won't be as bad as I thought" doogin'.
Camp starts on Saturday by the way, pre-camp press conference likely Friday.

We're going to suck, but are we really going to suck more than 2010-2012? Or even last year? If you aren't making a bowl in this day and age of college football, you have a pathetic program.
5 conference home games this year. The offense can't get any worse. QB and OL issues be damned, they need to be better than last year. As much as we rightfully harp on those issues, this team really needs to find a RB to rely on. With Gaskin in the mix, there appears to be plenty of options.
The defense will likely be a bit worse, but should still be at least league average. Outside chance they are top 4.
The Jalen and Jacoby podcast is well worth listening to ... if you have a podcast that can devote an entire episode to breaking down the movie Above the Rim ... you have a solid pod.

Good pod guys.
