2018 kid (just finished his freshman year in high school) Jontay Porter committed to UW. This is the younger son of the girls basketball coach Romar tried to hire because his older son is the #3 player in the 2017 class.

I'm sure this commitment is rock solid

    As strange as it sounds actually creating some recruiting buzz might help him to get DAO. The doogs are frothing at the mouth about how awesome all of that is. While anyone with a brain knows hes going to fuck up all the same. Maybe enough of our pussy fans will get smacked in the face as well.

    And Im not Aubs, but the answer to KJVs question is yes.

    It won't matter if the team totally sucks again. If I had to bet, I'd predict this year's team will be a middle of the Pac, NIT or CBI type team. However, that will create a little optimism for the next season. Let's remember that this board isn't the norm for UW fans.

    If Romar makes the tournament the next year, he's probably bought himself another two seasons of goodwill.

    UW hasn't played defense in at least 3 years from a wing perspective. Whether it's youth, players, or coaching, pick an excuse.

    Since most players have run a variation of the same 4 inbounds plays since 5th grade, you only need about 10 minutes to install multiple inbounds plays. Not to mention, if your team needs more time, then spend more time. It is a valuable part of the game considering we regularly watch teams get open jumper after open layup on our "defense".
