Welcome to the Hardcore Husky Forums. Folks who are well-known in Cyberland and not that dumb.
Petersen said they will redshirt Rodriguez if everything goes how he'd like it (think he said something about an ideal world).
Reading between those lines, it sounds like Browning will play at some point this year.

But what if he emerges from fall-ball as the #1 or #2 QB?
Which means we'll be redshirting Browning this year.
If not, I don't care, I'm also a complete Doog for Browning and believe he is the future.
Either way, if we lose to Boise, TSIO.
In other words, if Lindy hasn't "flashed" and shown accuracy by the time he's a RS-JR QB, he probably never will. As a RS-Soph, he looked terrible in the 2nd half (zero points scored) and then Oregon State went to the islands the next week, dropping 38 on the same Hawaii team.
If I'm successfully reading what Petersen was implying, I'm now guessing both KJCS and Browning will leap ahead of Lindquist in the fall (let's not forget that Lindquist never started another game at QB despite the shit sandwich we had in 2014).
One, KJ is to me as Cort was to the HHB Podcast (RIP). Two, last winter I went back and looked at his tape and the kid can play. I know shit about technical qb work but he's athletic, strong and a competitor. KJ has fire to him that Jeff simply doesn't. I don't buy the argument that he was a default or desperation signing by Petersen. As @HFNY said above, Lindy sadly just doesn't have it. All the future focus has been on Browning as Pete's Pick. If that really does mean something, we can't forget that we already have a Pete's Pick going into his second season in the system. Third, my own @Sources have had good if not glowing things to say about him since on campus.
Your points on Martell in the other thread are well taken. I'll have to watch some of his Hudl before deciding he's Marinovich II: The Sarkening.
