Mike Alves-2016 OG 6'5 318

The focus now goes to Alves, a 3* on scout and 4* on Rivals.

Has offers from UCLA, Oregon, Wisconsin and UW among others. In a recent interview said UW, UO & Wisc were standing out and that multiple coaches from UW were recruiting him. I think we offered him before UCLA & UO.

Passes the look test and his offer list is strong. Getting Alves would mitigate the loss of Eletise.

Alves will be one of Klemms main targets now that's he's off NCAA timeout.

West OL is crap this class. Not a lot of options. Another Hawaiian named Sean O-something apparently looks good. Henry Hattis from New Mexico and the kid from Narbonne, Ankingbulu, are other uncommitted west coast OL that look good on film and are late risers. Logan Bathke was another late riser but he went to Oregon recently.

Alves won't mitigate the loss of Eletise.

Eletise was at the Opening and was among the top OL there.

Both are going to be solid Pac-12 starters, but Eletise was a level above the rest.

Alves is pretty much a lock to Oregon from everything I've read.

Get ready for a diamond in the rough for our other OL spot.

Mitigate means lessen or lessen the severity. Not "cancel out completely."
    I know what mitigate means.

I didn't. My 10.95 was well spent this month to learn another word.

Some very encouraging news on Mr. Alves:

Ektard says the only way he doesn't go to Oregon is if they take someone better, and after that, it's UCLA

Exactly, now we know where he's not going. Ektard's info is actually really good - you just have to know how to interpret it.
