Why are the republicans literally standing by with trump? What is their true angle? If you pacify him for a while, he gains more speed and enough to ruin multiple debates with bullshit rhetoric. Or, if you dont' get him out now, he starts forming a 3rd party run. I would like to see a strong republican field this cycle, and their inability to take on a pussy like trump makes me wonder if any have the stones to do the actual job they are running for.

So I ask all of you political junkies, what is the rub here?

1) Trying to keep him close so that he doesn't branch off third wing?
2) Try to keep him close and then almost pacify a VP nod(but not really)
3) Just hang out and hope he continues to run his mouth and people will look away?

I'm not sure what the strategy is here, but someone needs to tell me how this guy's competition isn't burying him on being braindead. I disagree with some of the other guys who are runnings platforms, but they aren[t braindead. I just dont' get why they are all sucking trumps cock

You came to the wrong place. Half this bored thinks Trump is some sort of visionary.

That is a sad world if people are this naive' to his scheme.

Its a good question. Seems like some are finally starting to turn on him after his comments about McCain though. I think most of them view him as a non entity and feel like bashing him will only legitimize him, but it might be that they're all just pussies.

Pretty sure he's going to win enough support from the "go back to your cuntry" tea partiers and independent conservatives that his inevitable third party run will cripple the GOP nominee and win the presodency for Hillary. The sooner he gets silenced the better.

The thing is, the more crazy shit he says the better his polling numbers become.

But the even crazier thing is, the crazy shit he says isn't all that crazy - it just sounds crazy because we've become numbed by the ball licking party line politicians.

Early in an election cycle, the outlier will garner the most attention.

How are Republicans standing by him? His illegal immigration rant struck a chord. To just dismiss it as racist or anti all immigration is a bit simplistic. He's Ross Perot promising to run America like a bidness. He's a celebrity and America loves celebrities. He's not religious, he's not even really all that conservative. He's donated money to democrats. He's a sideshow before we get down to Bush Clinton and the Establishment Fights Back

In all seriousness the bigger question is why is Hillary the best the democrats have? I don't even know why we can't wait until 2016 for this bullshit. We'll hate whoever gets the nomination by the time the election rolls around

Trump says he's ultra religious. Just SMH

Anyways, yes that's a great point on the democrats. It's weird how there's 48 Republicans and essentially just Hillary on the democrat side. I figured by now a prominent democrat would stand up. A John Edwards type or something. My guess is more Democrats don't want to have to fight the Clinton machine. If Clinton's are good at anything, it's raising money and making their competition look bad. Jeb Bush is the same.

So we get another Bush Clinton race. If nothing else, there'll be plenty of shit talking.

Bernie Sanders drew 11,000 people in fucking Phoenix. I know most on this bored and the corporate media will dismiss him as far left, but he's honest and one of the few willing to represent the bottom 98%. I wouldn't totally dismiss him. A lot of people, conservatives even, were screwed by the Great Recession, through no fault of their own, and many still haven't really recovered to 2008 levels. They don't see many politicians willing to do anything

Sanders will knock Hillary out of the race. The question is, will the democrats go with him or will that open the floodgates for the usual suspects like Biden his time

You really think sanders can pull the donors? I'm not saying dems couldn't get behind his message and anti hillary movement, but to think he has pull enough to get the $$$ is questionable.

This is true. In politics today, it's impossible to discuss issues without there being some sort of ridiculous backlash against the person for discussing what many people talk about in their daily lives.

As with 99 % of elections, the American people will be left with no good choice to vote for.
