IDGAF what he's asking for as long as he's willing to take 24-25. But if he's dumb enough to stand firm on the 30 (he's not), then WDWHA.
I don't know about WDWHA. That depends on if you can replace him with anyone. Worst comes to worst, let him play this year and franchise him next year. Then you can see what kind of position the franchise is in at that point and/or possibly draft and groom a potential replacement.

Agree. Wasn't serious that WDWHA, I agree the team needs him desperately. But $30 is too much. I agree you franchise him for a year, possibly two. I'd probably franchise him one year and then trade him to the Browns or Bills for two firsts and some other stuff.
Wasn't it Wilson himself who alluded to 5/25 and confirmed by Clayton a day later... then posted here... about a week ago?
He just said "i'm gonna play my hardest whether I'm getting paid $25 million or $1.5 million." Very easily could have just been throwing a round number on it, could have just been referring to his salary for one year not including the signing bonus, way too many variables to read too much into it. He's never alluded to years that I know of.
Dez Bryant grandstanded that he wanted Calvin Johnson money but took $14 million a year. I'm sure this situation is the same, probably he'll end up getting $24-25 million a year like everyone here is saying.
i'm all for him getting the best deal for himself. what i'm confused by is how he apparently thinks he's worth $8 million more a year than Aaron Rogers? unless he doesn't really believe it and its his negotiation ploy.

Inflation ...
And as long as deals are signed for the long term, this will happen over and over.
Let's be honest, as soon as Wilson signs whatever deal he signs, there's going to be some idiot QB that is at best 81% as good as Wilson that will sign a contract that is far richer than his.

He believes in markets... which is odd since he's earned his money in a socialist structure.

If Rogers were to sign today, he'd get more.
Rogers would only get more if the cap went up
Bingo.
The came has already gone up twice since Rodgers signed.
