The committee doesn't care about OOC as much as they say. I think Ballsacked is right about that. It comes down to record. In the case of ties, the program with more prestige and money will go, which is what happened with Ohio State. If the committee did care about non conference like they say, Michigan State wouldn't have been ranked behind TCU and Baylor. Michigan State went on the road and lost to Oregon, while Baylor and TCU played nobodies. The 11-1 teams were ranked ahead of the 10-2 team that lost to two top 4 teams. If Michigan State would have beaten WSU instead of lost to Oregon, they would have been ranked higher.

My opinion is to play the best games possible. This is entertainment. There are only 12-14 games every year. Ballsacked is coming off like a pussy in this thread. Worry about losing out on a natty if it ever happens. Until then, just enjoy the marquee games. It beats padding the schedule against patsies.

The tOSU and Oklahoma year was rough, but you should have a marquee program on the schedule every year just in case that elusive "special" season comes around and you have a chance at the dance.

It's a fucking crime scheduling like a puszy.

False. These games are scheduled for ticket sales, fan interest and TV money, and that comes with the tradeoff of not maximizing NATTY opportunities.

I love major non-Conf games, best part about the game. But at the end of the year no one really cares if you beat Iowa or Bama, just don't be 10-2 and don't play too much FCS trash and you're probably in. Especially in the pac12 or SEC right now.
Baylor disagrees with your assessment. The committee has made it clear SOS matters. It was more important to go soft in the BCS because you needed that undefeated season (outside the sec).

Now it's better to sack up and smack someone worthy ooc so your resume sits at the top of the 1-loss pile when you choke to Oregon state or some other dreck in conference.
I don't necessarily disagree with you, but I could also make the argument that Baylor's planned soft schedule would have gotten them in the Playoff if they had just beaten West Virginia.
Baylor was a dumb example by dingleberry. They played the softest non-conference schedule and they don't have a conference title game.
    Such Fag, Ballbag.

TCU works too. Either of those teams plays someone decent OOC they probably keep tOSU out of the playoffs. So it matters. The idea scheduling like a pussy increases your chances is complete wrong. Not having a championship game hurts the B12 no doubt, but that will be temporary until the next realignment and you'll have more power conf. true champs than spots available. The team that crossed over and took out a big time opponent is the team getting the nod.

And to the WVU comment, that's the type of dreckish/mediocre team that will beat you in conference and ruin your season if there is no substance to your schedule.

Ultimately it comes down to if you belong in the dance you'll persevere through a rough ooc. Leave it to a soft bruin to advocate a handholding to the playoffs.
Speaking of handholding how did your make believe threesome go? Did the bored give you some killer advice bro?

    Dork.
