Thunder match max offer to Enes Kanter
http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/13246647/oklahoma-city-thunder-match-enes-kanter-offer-sheet-portland-trail-blazersReally smart move by Portland. Everyone thought OKC would match so they've tied up their cap with a bum.
OKC has decided that James Harden wasn't worth a contract that Enes Kanter is worth. Presti the mad genius proves once again that he belongs scouting college games and not making actual decisions.
Now the idiots covering the NBA will cry that it's not the same thing. These are the same guys that say Chris Paul is winner. They play favorites and Presti is there boi. They'll defend him harder than they defend the 76ers Ponzi scheme.
Embiid just had another foot surgery by the way.

The Blazers could have done some damage in the playoffs if Matthews would have been healthy. But, with the writing on the wall that Aldridge was leaving, nuking the roster sans Lillard was the only viable option. In the NBA being a perennial borderline playoff team is a deathnail to a small market team. No star free agents want to go there, and it's nearly impossible to keep your own stars that are already there. The only way for these teams to succeed is through the draft. Which a late lottery pick in most cases won't do any good for these teams. Basically, tanking is the only real viable option. And the best way to do that without pissing off your fanbase is to bring in a bunch of below average high motor guys. They'll suck, but at least give a crap, so it looks like you're trying.
