    The stats take years to compile, but here is what it was before the latest ramp up in illegals:

    As shown in figure 2, about 68 percent of the approximately 51,000 criminal aliens incarcerated in federal prison at the end of December 2010 were citizens of Mexico, and almost 90 percent were citizens of one of eight countries, including Mexico"

    I'm sure the latest surge in illegals are all good Samaritans though.

    The problem with looking at the number of people in jail, is how many are in there just because they are illegal. On the flip side, how many committed a crime and were deported.

    I do agree somewhat with Breitbart, unless someone can find actual good statistics, that this answer is not clear. And really that is an issue.
