Texas C / DT on the radar

Older listing has him at 6'2" 240 but is bigger than that, says he feels more natural playing DL. If he's more like 6'2" 255 to 265 lbs, maybe he plays DT or even NT after Ivan Socha gets a hold of him for a few years?

Maybe center, but you want a DT taller than 6'2"

    Why not?

I don't mind DT's or NT's at 6'2" or even 6 feet / 6'1" as they can sometimes be tougher to block / get leverage on at the 0 or 1 tech.

Danny Shelton is 6'2" and was pretty good last year.

Will Sutton is listed at 6 feet with the Bears and was great for ASU.

With all of the spread stuff and quick passes to the edge, it's a lot more important for your edge defenders to be longer to bat those horizontal passes down.

If the high end schools in the region aren't after him ... we probably don't want him. Let him go to SMU

It's a thin year out west for DL. If the staff offered him and they could beat out UCLA, Arizona State, and Kansas State for him, that would mean something.

Regardless, it's very rare for a Pac-12 school to go into Texas and pull a guy that Texas, Oklahoma, Texas A&M, TCU, and Baylor want without a lot of coffee cups.
