    My fantasy baseball team, the Wartime Consiglieres, picked Montgomery up from the free agent pool for $1. To this point, he's looking like the steal of the year. Especially since I'm in first place as of July 1st.

    Elias is my guess for who is sent down to AAA or traded for a LH bat (catcher or OF).

    I would guess he's sent down. They've established they need rotation depth.

    Montgomery had been in high minors for 5 years and flashed nothing like this. There is a chance he could have figured something out, but this is most likely just a really hot streak.

    If we've learned anything about the Mariners, as soon as you say something is looking up, the implosion begins. Montgomery gets shelled in the near future.

    This is mostly true. He was a very highly regarded prospect at one poont though, so it's possible he's finally tapped into whatever he flashed back in the day. Unlikely though, as his peripherals aren't particularly impressive.
