I would imagine that all the lakers need to do is allow kobe to be kobe on this currently constructed team and it will be just like tanking!
Let kobe fire up 35 shots a game and get his $$$. Then walk away after next year. Everyone wins.
As RD said, go big in FA in another year after kobe is gone and you have a nice substantial amount of young talent. -

Lol at giving Jeanie Buss any credit for the tv deal. The Lakers were long established as a premier franchise before Jeanie took over. They got the tv deal because of the demand. Giving her credit for that is like giving Donald Sterling credit for having a franchise worth 2 billion.Tequilla said:

She's social and knows how to play the media game better than Jim. Aligning with Phil Jackson helped perceptions as well. I really don't know what she has done to earn any praise.
Jimmy is on the basketball side and mostly cedes the decision making to Kupcheck. People hate nepotism and Jimmy likes to drink and drug. He's probably an idiot, but I've never understood why he gets all the shit and Jeanie gets a pass. It seems like media bullshit to me. -
