1. Run the goddamn ball. As with any offseason, there are a lot of question marks and uncertainties leading up to opening kickoff. One aspect of this team that is not a question mark is Bishop motherfucking Sankey. Another is the ability of our offensive line to run block. They are both proven, established entities. Put a helmet on a helmet and then let Bishop run. Man for man we have a bigger, more athletic front than they do.

1b. Don't get cute. Don't out-think yourself. Curb your tendency to get cute and try little pussy trick plays or an endless array of WR screens. Do not let Keith Price determine if we win or lose this game. This is the same Keith Price who said 10k at the spring game gave him jitters. I don't know what happened in his head ever since Baylor 2011. Don't risk it. Don't give him a bunch of early responsibility in a vain attempt to win back his "respect". Conversely, do what Harbaugh did with Luck. Establish the run. Keep pounding it. Don't pussy out and abandon it once it gets stopped one-two-three times. Stick with it. Use Keith, Austin, Kasen, and others in the play action game. Trust your offensive line from snap 1 and they will reciprocate that trust. Ditto Keith.

2. College football is a game of emotion. You think the Rose Bowl team seeing Curtis Williams didn't make them lose their minds and play even harder? This may seem a trivial point to some, but I think Deonte Cooper should get the first carry of Husky Stadium. This will fire the crowd up to even more raucous levels. The players will play more inspired. Do it Sark. It would also be a legendary moment and talked about for decades even if the run went for little to no gain.

3. Play special teams/4th down conservatively. Notwithstanding a pass rush, the defense should be pretty solid. Play field position. Give BSU a long field to work with. Let them make mistakes/let our defense make a play. Don't do something stupid like going for it on 4th and 1 on your own 45 in a 0-0 game in the first quarter. I know you'll never listen to this and you're a gambler at heart, but a man can hope.

4. This is the absolute final straw after a disappointing fourth year. Don't fuck it up. Good luck.

Perhaps you should post on Doogman, seems more your speed.

I'm sure Sark will use Cooper in the way you are suggesting if he feels the game/momentum is slipping away. No need to do that on the first play of the game. Sankey is your best back and should get the first and majority of the carries.

It's not a terrible thought. It's just your strategy is better.

The crowd energy will be in full force in the first quarter you don't need to worry about getting them excited. Use Cooper to get them pumped in the 2nd quarter or if you feel the momentum is slipping away.

Fuck your doogman comment. All I'm saying is that emotion can go a long way in this game. It would fire the OL up. It would fire the fans up. It would be talked about forever as a cool Husky moment. It would be something for Cooper after three years of ACL hell. He deserves it.

Now if he fumbled and we ended up losing, I'd gladly go DIAF.

Sorry dude, but if this team is not fired up after choking away the last 2 games last year + opening the new Husky stadium then we are are really screwed.

You know when I want to see Cooper get a carry, when we are up 27-10 to start the 4th qtr.

Telling anyone whose perspective you don't agree with to leave seems pretty up to speed with Dawgman IMHO.
    Agreed.

With Cooper when he enters the huddle the crowd will be going crazy so everyone will be expecting a run so I'd like to see a play action pass to ASJ there.

Here's my life of abundance....Cooper takes the carry, gains a yard, gets hit, reinjuries his acl, ball comes loose and Boise returns it for a TD.

What would be funniest about that is that half the doogs will be crying and giving him a standing O, and the other half will turn on him right away and blame the loss on him.

WTF does that have to do with anything? I have never laid an egg, but I can sure tell a bad one. By analogy, Sark as a football coach is a bad egg. Pretty sure he has more coaching experience than me though. Interpretation: Run the goddamn ball. Hence the OP's open letter to Sark.

BTW, suppose there would be a snowball's chance in hell the Seattle Times would publish such a letter? I didn't think so.
