The problem with The GAP is the same with a lot the other lower level retailers like JC Pennies, Sears, American Eagle, Hollister, etc. They no longer have an identity. They sell crap products at too high of prices. Retail stores like Walmart and old navy also sell junk, but price it as such, thus they control the market.

Stores like tommy Bahamas and banana republic sell quality and price as such, and with fewer competition, they can thrive.

Same is going with the way of grocery stores. Albertsons, Fred Meyer, and Safeway are getting killed by Costco, WINCO, and Walmart, while stores like Whole Foods and Market of Choice thrive.

If your business can't afford to pay its employees a living wage then you have a shitty business model and deserve to go out of business.

Any fucktard could pay his employees nothing and turn a profit. I don't know why people are so supportive of these business that can only survive by screwing their employees. Run your business better.

Exactly. Every smart business owner knows that paying a little higher wages (in most businesses) attracts higher talent and less turnover. Which means what? Lower cost of training and better customer service. But keep paying people minimum wage and see how that works out for you.

BTW, not one person in my small business makes minimum wage after the first 3 months and the vast majority make $15 plus an hour to start. You invest in us with time and we invest in you in raises.
I guess a bathhouse is a small business.

Less than 3% of workers make minimum wage. Another non issue. If you're over 18 making minimum wage you should apply at Hondo's "company "

So it's also a non-issue when it comes to companies closing stores as well....................

    Duly noted.

Apparently, it's a meaningless card both sides like to play.

"Look at my meaningless card." "No, look at MY meaningless card."

    Uhhhh. OK.
