I heard Jack interviewed yesterday after the trade. He intimated that he's done a great job putting an outstanding roster together, but said that the players aren't getting the job done.
I also like how he upgrades the offense by getting a guy with a .298 OBP, instead of going after some bullpen help which is what this team needs most.
I'd say the biggest problem is .OBP (28th in the league) followed by a below average success with RISP, particularly at home.
Trumbo went 2 for 4 yesterday (with two Ks) and his .OBP is average for the team (just below .300). The guys who are killing us are (TSIO): Ackley, Zunino, and...wait for it....CANO. Cano is hitting a little bit better of late (seeing the ball better and hitting it harder) but his .OBP is just .288.
I hate hearing Jack interviewed on the radio. I get so irritated by his fucking voice. I hate the way he says "ball club" and he says it every 3 seconds.

Flagged for listening to a radio station that plays interviews with Mariners personnel.

To quote Chevy Chase..."Do you think it really matters Eddie?"
