REUTERS:
U.S. economy likely shrank in first quarter, but fundamentals strong.

The government is expected to report on Friday that gross domestic product shrank at a 0.8 percent annual rate instead of growing at the 0.2 percent pace it estimated last month, according to a Reuters survey of economists.

With growth estimates so far for the second quarter around 2 percent, the economy appears poised for its worst first half performance since 2011.

Economists, however, caution against reading too much into the expected slump in output. They argue the GDP figure for the first quarter was held down by a confluence of temporary factors, including a problem with the model the government uses to smooth the data for seasonal fluctuations.
A "modelling problem"??? The press would crucify a republican president, but nothing is ever Obama's fault. It's a "confluence of temporary factors." What a load of crap.

Lots of people in the RC and Guard have served multiple deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan. On their behalf - go fuck yourself.

They're not making shit up about their BATTLEFIELD COMMISSIONS

Pretty sure the harsh winter is responsible for the bad numbers. And its hard to have a good economy when Canada is serious about growth. Reagan never had to face a ranked EU.

Obama has only had 6 years, which isn't even two full recruiting cycles. It takes 9 years or more to judge a President.

A lot of you would have fired FDR.

One guy did fire Abe Lincoln sooner than most of us would have.

You're right. I took the bait from Honda. My bad. My military active duty is none of anybody's business in here. Just as your Reserve/Guard/Girl Scouts/Whatever career is non of mine.

Thank you for your occasional service.

BTW, if you are interested in becoming an officer, go read Army Regs. Your officers probably don't know shit. Civilians do NOT got through the same process to go to West Point or OCS or anything else.

Navy/Marines go through NAPS, Naval Academy Prep School Program. Other Navy/Marine Enlisted Commissioning Programs are:

    NESEP
    MECEP
    ECP
    MCP

The Army likely has similar programs.

    Very tempting...

If a client came to me with that offer, I'd tell him he was fucking nuts to take it. Besides, I like proving that you don't know what the fuck you're talking about.

    :-h

BTW, I have two DD-214's. You have to be discharged the day before you accept a regular commission like I did at Quantico. The one you want is my first. But go fuck yourself.

Here. I'll make it easy for you.

The last time anyone in Virginia got a "battlefield commission" was about 100 years before 'Nam.

Why the fuck did you go to Quantico for a battlefield commission?

Finally, why do you think I'm a reservist?

Fat kid in the picture is wearing an IR flag, which means his combat zone deployment is real. Don't know why you choose to ridicule him.

I really am getting tired of this. This is the last poast on the subject.

Who the fuck said my BC was in VA? You must be high.

BC was in VN (Viet Nam). I immediately requested orders to the next ECP OCS class. Quantico is in VA. When you come back CONUS as a BC, you take off your bars and report to your next duty station (NO MATTER WHERE IT IS) in your permanent rank enlisted uniform, which for me was E-5 Sergeant. I think the rules were different in the Army in WW2 but frankly I don't give a fuck.

After 90 days in OCS as an ECP, I got discharged as an E-5, Sergeant. The next day I accepted a regular old 2Lt commission with all the limp dick civilians I went through OCS with. I received that commission in Quantico, VA.

Fuck you are stupid. You must fit in well with all the other doggies.

    THE END.
