Chipotle goes GMO free - others to follow?
I read more than the headline. The Ecologist is my source.
Chipotle is giving consumers what they want. Market economics 101.
Will the rest of fast food have to follow?

Hasn't mankind engaged in a form of genetically modified organisms / seeds for hundreds of years (if not thousands)?
Mankind has invariably sought to grow wheat, corn, and other crops bigger / better to increase their yields and hardiness:

The idiots on the left will tell you that the GMO food will poison/kill/autism you, even though there is no scientific evidence to support this.
The idiots on the right will tell you that mass producing GMO "super seeds" that wipe out native seeds is good economics, cuz more is always better. Even though it actually puts our food at risk from a lack of genetic diversity (more susceptible to blight, insects, etc.).
They also spray a shit ton of chemicals that definitely aren't good for us. But that's another topic. -
