I'm all for being jaded and not Doogin' but come on:
QB: are Oregon State, Washington State, UCLA, and Colorado in that much better shape? Only Colorado has a returner starter who started a majority of anyone's games (and Sefo threw 15 INTs and averaged 6.4 ypa).
RB: Agreed. After Oregon, USC, UCLA, and Arizona, we're probably in the next tier. We do have good depth and Dotson should surprise some people. Stanford, ASU, and Cal have some talent there too.
WR: Below average but man, have you seen what OSU, WSU, and Utah have (or don't have)? While Cajuste and Rector are pretty good, Stanford lost Montgomery and ASU lost Jaelen Strong so they aren't that much better. I like Mickens, hope RS-SR Hall can finally put it together but Pettis and Lenius are the key for the starting 4. Depth will be a concern though.
TE: Above average. Perkins and Daniels present mismatches in the passing game, sounds like Ajamu (6'5" 251 lbs) could be the answer for a blocking TE and still presents an option in the passing game. Sample is the #4 TE and more of a blocking guy too. If I'm JS, I want Perkins and Daniels on the field more than Hall and some true frosh WRs.
OL: Too much of an unknown on the edges to say "horrific", especially considering that RT Coleman Shelton sat out the spring. Strausser has sounded bullish on RS-JR Eldrenkamp and Matt James...James is at 273 lbs so if he can get up to 290 - 295, I wouldn't be surprised if he started over Shelton but I gathered James needs one more year of development.
If Charles can put it all together (including health), he could be an All Pac-12 guy, Tufunga is decent enough, and Brostek has gotten new life under Strausser. Sounds like Brostek could surprise some people and he's listed at 300 now (SarkAttackFS played him early at 275-280 lbs).
IIRC, WSU's OL returns all 5 guys but they sucked big wang last year. OSU's was bad too, Oregon lost their 3 best starters and Johnstone retired after his ACL injury (I like Crosby), Stanford will be decent but lost Peat, and Cal will be just ok. UCLA and USC will probably have some of the best OLs in the conference. ASU and Arizona will probably be around average to pretty good, Colorado's will suck again, and Utah's should be pretty decent.
So with all of that in mind, I'd have to put us in the bottom of the 2nd tier or as the best of the worst tier.
TL; DR...it's all relative so our crapola must be compared to other dreckfests around the league.
No we arent THAT bad but its pretty bad. Look at the position groups. QB- Well well below average. Probably 11th or 12th in the Pac.
RB-Average, maybe a tick above. Washington and Coleman could be a decent power back 1-2. Dotson is intriguing and might play a bigger role than we think. Gaskin will probably play which is kinda too bad but Christ atleast he might not shit the bed and fumble against Arizona like the 34 YO wet eyes.
WR-Far far below average. Certainly the very worst in the Pac.
OL-Horrific at the edges, perhaps ok in the middle. Below average.
If you think this offense based off personnel is best served running a faggoty spread then I dont know what to tell you.
WSU has 2 LEGIT pac 12 QB' in Falk and Bender, Colorado has a true jr returning, with 26 starts. What the hell you talking about NY?
WSU is ALOT deeper at WR for fuck sake. Prolly the 4th best in the conference with Dom Williams (all pac12 potential) Cracraft, Marks, Bartalone . Also got a STUD transfer from Clemson, Priester. Watched him spring game. Very fast, tall.
Penis, you dont line up under center with what he have on the roster. 90% of college football teams have moved to some variation of the spread for a reason.
You dont know what the fuck you are talking about dude. Just shut it while your behind.
UW easily has more overall talent than both those teams and the coaching staff has had two years to get a non-syphilitic QB ready to play. No excuse to be last in the conference again in offense, PLSS.

Wrong, we fucking dont, and I can almost guarantee you we will be last in the conference, or near last, again. now we don't have the defense to give our offense the plentiful opportunities it did last year.
