The article seemed to take a middle approach to me if it indeed on the mark: man can cause problems but they can also fix them so that the ozone (or earth) can fix itself.
I am definitely not a Democrat, kind of a Republican, but more on the Libertarian side and probably my biggest concern is the Ocean Acidification. If the Ocean's pH balance becomes too acidic, it creates dead zones where nothing lives and shellfish can't actually make their shells to protect against attackers.
Rising temps are also a concern, not only for water but for salmon. I have read that some rivers up in Alaska have warmed just a little, which is making the rivers more hospitable to parasites which then kill salmon (trout really) before they can reach the ocean to turn into Salmon.
