So you would rather just do nothing with health care. You liked ridiculous charges cause all the poor went to the ER and didn't pay. Plus 8-10% increase in insurance and medical costs every year.RaceBannon said:

Imagine if both parties got together and worked on a fix. Rather than one party saying "fuck you, we passed it, live with it bitches." and the other one saying "fuck you, this is shit, let's repeal it and go back to worse shit".dflea said:I sit on the fence here. As a type-1 diabetic, I've wanted to torch every fuckin' insurance company every time I've changed jobs and those cocksuckers wouldn't cover my "pre-existing condition" I have due to no fault of my own.
At the same time, the last time I was at the ER in fucking excruciating pain from a complication of my diabetes and watched 37 people with sniffy fuckin' noses and no insurance be attended to before me, I wanted to torch their fuckin' asses - especially when I did get in and they wanted to run 15 unneeded diagnostic tests so my insurance company could pay for all the uninsured shitheads that went in before me.
Face it, the insurance companies brought this shit on themselves. The problem is that the fix was nearly as bad, or worse, than the original problem was.

I like to pretend Obama didn't get exactly what he rammed through as he told the republicans to fuck off.

It's the same fucking problem. Now these same people are getting their medical covered without paying, thus passing the cost to the people paying premiums. How is this any different?2001400ex said:

Actually the system before, the costs were passed to those with insurance. Now it's transitioning to those paying the increased taxes. Unless $250k a year is middle class or you have a ridiculous tanning habit, you aren't paying their premiums.greenblood said:

like, maybe, huffpo?
What is it specifically where you disagree with Dr. Salim Furth, PH.D's work? -
Huffpo is generally terrible too.sarktastic said:like, maybe, huffpo?

Why do you always link it as a 'source' then?
... and since you whined about it in a condescending tone, why not answer the question? -

I have linked huffpo maybe once or twice. Generally the stuff on there is shit, but sometimes it's linked to something that is actually factual with actual factual analysis.sarktastic said:Why do you always link it as a 'source' then?

You asked the question on an edit. Hence why it's not in my quote.
Did you read your article and compare it to the actual study? There's a few key differences that newsmax throws in that skews shit. For example, the 5% thing. Put it in context where historically premiums were increasing 8-10%. -

Been there, brother. But with my wife's cancer (who's ass she whooped) from a decade ago. The "C-word" is a money making conveyor belt for the medical machine as is diabetes.dflea said:I sit on the fence here. Go in for a sinus infection and they all try to schedule a half dozen MRI's, cat-scans, and thyrogen treatments - none of the treatments germane to the actual ailment.
When I worked on Lake Tahoe, the local hospital would only serve those that arrived in a REMSA (ambulance) or in handcuffs from the casinos with a needle stuck in their arm. Normal folk with insurance had their own special wing that resembled a morgue.... and this was well before Obaminator-care.
Cool story. -
