Our last good offensive lineman was actually a tie: Olson and Kreutz in '97. I can't name a guy since then I would really like to have back.RoadDawg55 said:Who was the last stud OL UW had? Kelemete's hype was more based off his athleticism vs being really good. If we go further back, the same was basically true for Khalif Barnes, although he was injured for almost his entire senior year.
You can get away with having one Colin Tanigawa, average OL type starting. You can't get away with 5 of them like UW tried the past 4 or 5 years. Some like to pretend the Riva and Dexter Charles are/were good, but they weren't any better than an average Pac 12 lineman. I won't even go back to the Ty era because they were a disaster then.
Also, anyone who pretends Dexter Charles is good should be raped. -
Kelemete starting for the Cardinals tells me he was good. Khalif barnes is good by virtue of starting in the nfl as long as he has, however he's not a "holy shit let's anchor our line around him" kinda guy. More of a "he's good enough to work with and the udfa from Cornell behindhim will get abused at this level" kinda guy.
We'll never know how much help Riva could have been. Maybe he springs Dwayne "goat fuck" washington for a few more tds. -

Matt Rodgers was an American Idol finalist, plus he was the first to greet Willie Hurst after his spin arm balance td run against Zona.
Willie Hurst and Leon Neal are the most underrated husky backs. -
Maybe no individual that I'd love to have back, but I'd take the whole 2000 OL wiff a bullet.Dennis_DeYoung said:

He doesn't start for the Cardinals and was cut after his rookie season. But still.Doogles said:Kelemete starting for the Cardinals tells me he was good. 2000 OL was overrated in my view. Chad Ward was definitely good, though. I suppose he would make it.dnc said:

The good thing about those dudes is that they played mean, but there was no one who was both mean and had insane talent (see Kreutz and Olson).
Once you get to '97, then we have a slew of players that fit that description.
In the best years of Husky football you had Mike Zandofsky, Lincoln Kennedy, Bern Brostek, Olin Kreutz and everyone like that...
I remember thinking Frank Garcia sucked. Frank Garica would broom-handle rape Dane Crane in a Lander bathroom if he were still on the team.

Alpha Dog
Honolulu (Hawaii) Kaiser offensive lineman Michael Eletise did not get a ton of reps on Wednesday but the 6-foot-4, 313-pound guard from Hawaii made the most of his. Eletise was easily the most physical lineman on the day, throwing Antwuan Jackson to the ground on one rep. He keeps his feet moving on the interior and gets a great initial punch to not let the defender into his body. -

Jesus Christ my husky football blueballs have been swelling the majority of my life. Be merciful o lord of orgasmic release and let me witness a real team before I die.
