What? No Wattenberg?CokeGreaterThanPepsi said:Rosterbating:

It's weird to have options! I put Sosebee at C over Twattenberg. And we still have other guys who are really intriguing not even on the list.

Well, if you look how we would get there, it's kind of a weird sequence. Our OL roster is such a nightmare right now.CokeGreaterThanPepsi said:Rosterbating:

So, currently we have something that looks like this (don't avert your gaze, be a man and take it):
LT: Jake Eldrenkamp (Jr.)
LG: Dexter Charles (Sr.)
C: Sifa Tufunga (Sr.)
RG: Shane Brostek (Jr.)
RT: Coleman Shelton (So.)
Basically all these guys either suck or probably suck.
The bench is something ugly as sin like:
T - Kaleb McGary (RFr.)
G/T - Matt James (RFr.)
G/T - Andrew Kirkland (So.)
G - Jesse Sosebee (RFr.)
G/C - Cory Fuavai (Jr.)
G/C - Dane Crane (So.)
G/C/T - John Turner (RFr.)
Then you have the freshmen:
T - Trey Adams
T - Devin Burleson
T - Jared Hilbers
G - Henry Roberts
After watching and paying attention in spring, my take is that we basically had 4 total OL on our roster that could be good, but most have caveats:
1. Jesse Sosebee (he's the only guy without a caveat, just young).
2. Kaleb McGary (never played OL before).
3. Devin Burleson (never played football before).
Oh crap, that's just three—worse than I thought.
So, either we're going to take a LOT of growing pains and risk ruining young guys like McGary, Burleson, Adams or Roberts... we're going to have to wait until the jagoffs on our current line are done playing.
So, in 2016 you might have:
LT: Eldrenkamp (Sr.)
LG: Jesse Sosebee (So.)
C: (Crane/James/Turner)
RG: Brostek (Sr)
RT: Shelton (Jr.)
The potential change here is that Shelton is so small, he might get moved inside and McGary could take over for him. However, unseating starters is just not tremendously usual and guys like Adams and Roberts (who come in with all the tools and pedigree) are far enough behind in years, they may have to sit for a while; while guys like McGary probably aren't ready to overtake guys like Shelton in practice (if that's the metric).
So, really we're looking at 2017 (which I assume will be special, but it looks more like '18 from this) to get to a point where we have playing talent:
LT - Trey Adams (So.)
LG - Henry Roberts (So.)
C - Crane/James/Shelton
RG - Jesse Sosebee (Jr.)
RT - McGary (Jr.)
The line you're talking about is a 2018 line.

FTR, Shelton was moved to center before spring, and then he got hurt and didn't practice. He makes much more sense as a C.

Who was the last stud OL UW had? Kelemete's hype was more based off his athleticism vs being really good. If we go further back, the same was basically true for Khalif Barnes, although he was injured for almost his entire senior year.
You can get away with having one Colin Tanigawa, average OL type starting. You can't get away with 5 of them like UW tried the past 4 or 5 years. Some like to pretend the Riva and Dexter Charles are/were good, but they weren't any better than an average Pac 12 lineman. I won't even go back to the Ty era because they were a disaster then. -
Many forget here that you don't need OL to run the bubble screen
