Kuma has overachieved the past few seasons. He fell apart late last year. He's going to have a shitty season. It's unrealistic to expect Kuma to pitch as well as he has the past two seasons. Same for the bullpen. The Mariners aren't good.

It also seems pretty smart to sit Seth Smith against a RHP. He only went 3-3 in his first game.
