My favorite part:
— The third interception of the day was by redshirt freshman LB Jake Wambaugh, who also picked off a pass on Monday. This time, Wambaugh made a perfect read on a screen pass by quarterback Jake Browning, stepping in front of the softly-thrown ball, snagging it in stride, then returning it for what would have been a touchdown. (Redshirt freshman tight end Drew Sample, who was not on the field on that play, actually came off the sidelines to chase Wambaugh down and push him out of bounds before he could actually cross the goal line, but I wouldn’t look for that to happen in a live setting.)
Sample must have spent the offseason studying Mike Tomlin.
