1. Would rather read Christian Caple than Jood any day of the week. Jood is such a fucking tool. Don't care what school he went to. Condotta was a Coug as was the best beat writer I've ever read.
Jumping out at me is John Ross. He gained 15 lbs. This + his skillset could translate into a Golden Tate type of receiver, although Tate is a very tough player, something I haven't seem from Ross yet. The other thing of note is that a lot of OLs have lost weight and seem to stabilize in a 300-315 lbs range. I don't know what that means in terms of what we will do on the field, but I don't think it is a coincidence.
Ross getting heavier is certainly good news, but he went under the knife after the bowl game, so is this pizza weight? I hpoe not.
The most important part of off-season changes in on the lines, as you point out. Proof is in the pudding, so we shall see. The least important change, but the most glaring, is our punter gaining 50 lbs in the past 2+ years. Durkee, at 6'4" and 247lbs......is he now DE or TE?
Also looks like the interior linemen are getting back into shape a bit. Gaines, Virta Vida, and Qualls all lost a few pounds.
Shane Bowman gained quite a bit. He's my dark horse impact guy.
Most of the rest are in the normal range of fluctuation. At my age I can gain or lose 9-10 lbs depending on whether or not I'm shitting regularly. These guys probably all eat 3X as much as I do so I'd expect some effect from that even if they're more regular than me.

2014: 6-3, 318
2015: 6-3, 312
He seems to be really rounding into form. I think this is the year he makes a big splash, at age 37.

What's next, a thread about Michael Sam?
