I talked to a local HS coach this weekend who has a player over at WSU. The player was back on Spring Break and asked how it is going, the kid said he really likes it over there but "all of the players hate Leach." He said the guy barely talks to them and they feel like he doesn't care about any of his players.
I know this will come to a shock to a lot of people, but this is just what I am hearing. Don't twist, gone, just gone.
If this were UW, Griswold would use this opportunity to somehow take a shot at Peterman not being able to relate to "edgy" players with throat feces and rubbing people the wrong way as if to imply Petey is the only coach who has kids leave. Yet Sark runs off a borderline all-conference player (Hudson), Pete lets him back on the team and even after Hudson has a very successful season, Ken's response is "who would Sark rather have, Hudson or Farria " with his gay little wink as if the two are mutually exclusive. We gave scholarships to fucking walk-ons last year. And Sark offers a kid without doing due diligence from the 2nd best program for talent in the state and a month before signing day, Sark won't even take the kid's phone call or tell him they've decided to move on, even further tarnishing his reputation with local coaches. Kim even defended that.
Speaking of which, you hear local kids all the time mention UCLA as being high on their list because Mora leverages his relationships here to get in on some of the top kids in Washington. Yet in the last 2 recruiting cycles, I've never heard a Washington kid even mention USC.
Bill Moos will praise this move as proof the team has improved then pivots to announce the widening AD budget deficit as the highest in WSU history and #1 in the Pac-12 conference... then hands a trophy to President Floyd and says, "Congratulations"
Don't forget about Seven running off James Sample, no way an upper class DB doing well in the ACC would have helped our back 4 manned mostly by freshman,
LaRue was a 4* WR who was committed to USC for a long time but signed with Texas A&M, then transferred and sat out last year and was expecting to start at CB. Leach said he would've been starting last year if he didn't have to sit out due to transfer rules. He seems to have been super popular on the cuog message boards, like their biggest recruit of the last year.
Dascalo was the only punter at Wazzu. Yeah, the only punter. Their team doesn't have a punter now. They're gonna try a LB at punter now.

That's because Leech is a borderline aspergers motherfucker. He goes off on all that weird pirate/geronimo shit because he is socially inept. The reason it seems like he doesn't care about his players is because he doesn't.

Who needs a punter when you can add more receivers?
Culture change is running off almost your entire starting lineup from your Oregon-style Bowl choke vs. Eastern New Mexico Tech and replacing them with your own Fr and Sophomores.
Fucking up is when you run off the guys you recruited to replace the guys you ran off.
Is the punter Leach ran off better than no punter at all?

This just means they can go for it on 4th downs all year long.

Twist it if you want.
This. Leach can be amusing because he's so out there and most coaches are bores, but he's also retarded.

A transfer receiver, while somewhat highly regarded never saw the active roster.
And who???
It's all part of the culture change going on in the Wheatlands.
So quit twisting.
