Aubs, who do you want to be the next Jake Locker?

And can't we set the bar higher? Maybe someone who can pass?

Minus the local connection, Jake Browning is pretty much the next Locker. Locker was the next Stanback. Washington hasn't had a true savior in 15 years.

Also, if Skinny Eason tears shit up in the SEC and Browning(possibly Fink) don't do the same, Petersen will get an ungodly amount of heat.

Petersen will get fired if that happens. Add KJ to the mix. One of those three needs to be a stud.

Yep - you can't win big in the PAC without high caliber QB play (and high caliber can also be a high quality game manager - see Hogan, Kevin).

I think Petersen's fine with another .500 caliber conference season this year because most objective people realize that this is a transition year. But he can't repeat Seven's yearly 5-4 path and not walk the plank.

Lets be fair to Kevin Hogan. That kid is a fucking TERRIBLE quarterback unless he has 11 NFL lineman, 3 NFL TE's, the fastest WR on the field, and 240lb wrecking ball at HB. This year showed what he really was, not good, at all.

I think Hogan is a top 3 QB in the Pac.

    1. Goff
    2. Kessler (barely, i'm going to call him better Keith Price)
    3. Hogan

Kessler is the typical Sark QB that shreds the little sisters of the poor and doesn't do shit against a team with a pulse.

Hogan won a Rose Bowl, and like most QBs got murdered to start the season while their young OL shit the bed. Naturally, the OL improved and everyone's game picked up and Hogan looked damn good by the end of the year.

Hogan isn't bad. Stanford's offense isn't built for putting up monster stats. He can also run a little bit an pick up first downs.

Doogles is right. Hogan played really well the last quarter of the season.

He was 16/19 for 234 yards, 2 TD and rushed 7 times for 46 yards against UCLA. QBR was 244.

FWIW, Miles was 14/24 for 155 yards, 1 INT, and rushed 17 times for 62 yards against UCLA. QBR was 44.

Petersen = Romar. All character (but Petersen actually has wins on his resume). Only way Pete gets canned is if Pool Boy is out. Let's not pretend UW has standards. They went after Petersen because he's the football Romar, he just happens to have a history of winning.
