Small time comments by a small time coach.

"Play for Beau Baldwin - he won't stab you in the back if you get an opportunity to move up to a D1A program, nosiree." Every negative recruiting Big Sky coach from now until forever

He didn't say anything about Adams. He just won't let him work out at EWU since he left the team. Makes sense to me.

My own view is that the kid graduates on time with some eligibility left, the original school he signed his LOI with should be happy he got a shot at the CFB big time. And yeah, not letting him use the EWU facilities is pretty bush league. This isn't like Oregon swooped in and stole him. By rule, Adams had to make first contact.

As a matter of policy, both Kelly and Helfrich have given releases to any player who requested one, no questions asked, and all of the ex-Oregon players were welcome in the UO facilities as long as they were still enrolled. I'm sure we got the playbook back, but other than that...

But would Kelly/Helfrich allow the player to use the facilities if said player was going to be the starting QB for your week 1 opponent for the upcoming season? I'm sure if Adams was transferring to a school that wasn't on EWU's schedule next year, Baldwin would have no issues with him using the facilities.

I'd hafta ask Tra Carson. He transferred to Texas AnM before they backed out of their home and home with us

Baldwin, what a bitch. Wasn't he interviewing for Beavis job?

I get it. He found/developed a great player who just dumped his ass when he thought he still had a year with him. It's the smart and obvious move for Adams...but I wouldn't want to be the Eastern coach and have to worry that any great player I produce is going to bail on me for the big time as soon as they have opportunity. It is a shitty situation for a lower tier coach but it does seem like the natural order.

I can understand being down about it but I'm not saying he should be taking shots at Oregon or at Adams. Both parties are taking care of themselves as they should be. Go ahead and be butt hurt but don't spout off in the media about it.

They play week 1...no shit they won't let him use facilities.

I don't have any issue with that at all. The comments about Oregon are Trent Butthurt Baalke FS though.

Works both ways. Baldwin has lived off D-1 transfers.
