    I don't believe that Oregon would have gone after Petersen and disrupted the continuity that they have going. I think Petersen knew that as well.

    Maybe Woody took a page from Hedges playbook, hire a coach based on his success at beating Oregon???

    You don't rise to prominence with a system that has been passed on from within for years (particularly after Kelly's tweaks), given your school its identity, and most importantly stocked with personnel suited for it; just to throw it away on a rebuild of style when your all everything QB is ready to go.

    I don't think Oregon would have hired Saban quite honestly.

    You guys do what you do, it's almost good enough, if you had Meyer you'd go the distance.

    What is more delusional? Stating the obvious that Oregon didn't go after Petersen (they didn't) or that Petersen turned down Oregon because he was hoping that sark would leave uw? C'mon...
