Sterk, from what I've read, is ridiculously athletic, disciplined, and tore it up in his league (2A up near Bellingham). He was pretty much guaranteed to go to EWU but Petersen has had an eye on him and decided to offer him a couple weeks ago. The day after Petersen offered, Don Pellum and his crew were up there trying to get him to visit.
I'm not an expert analyst but he seems to fit the mold of the kind of guy Petersen has identified in the past and gotten 4-star output from.
Unfortunately, purpledawgfan, who has seen his tape, says he's not very good and Petersen still thinks he's recruiting for the WAC. He would know since he's been honing his recruiting eye watching film and pestering coaches for 2 years now. He's what you call, an expert.
T Town Trib has there's out as well. State/region looks thin on the lines next year with Amandre Williams and Dublanko the elite line recruits. Anyone have a non-scout biased view? Dublanko has been at every camp since the 6 th grade...clearly 5 stars.
I haven watched Sterk's film, but from the picture of him running hurdles he is a big, athletic guy. WSU used to take a lot of lowly rated TE/DE's back on their "dynasty" days. I like projects like Sterk.
Based on the Trib article and camp participation and lack of edge and most importantly lack of speed, I'm pulling a PDF and saying dublanko's over rated at 4 stars. By pulling a PDF that is to say I have no clue.

What's the story on Sterk? A guy the coaches kept their eye on and who had a big SR year?
