Sark's "amazing" offense

Here are the NCAA ranks for Sark's "amazing" offense since he has taken over at UW.

2009:

375.5 yards per game- 62nd
250.9 passing yrds per game- 40th
139 rushing yards per game- 68th
26.1 points per game- 67thT

2010:

362.5 yards per game- 76th
201.5 passing yrds per game- 83rd (Good pick Titans)
172.2 rushing yrds per game- 38th
21.7 PPG- 97thT

2011:

409.8 yrs per game- 38th
270.2 passing yrds per game- 36th
154.3 rushing yrds per game- 63rd
33.4 PPG- 25th

2012:

355.2 yrds per game- 99th
212.8 passing yrds per game- 82nd
142.4 rushing yrds per game- 86th
24.0 PPG- 90th

In four years Sark has only been in the top 30 in offense in only one category which was points in year 3. He's been worse than 60th 11 times out of 16 which is terrible for an "offense genius".

I think even the biggest Sark supporters have to be concerned that his specialty actually isn't that good. I didn't like hiring of Sark at the time as I wanted a defensive coach but I figured by now the offense would be clicking at a top 20 level.

Sark should have fired his OC after 2012 like he fired his DC after 2011.

Woodward should have done his fucking job and fired Sark after the Apple Cup.

These offensive numbers are a fucking joke.

When you see we were 86th in rushing, it proves we really were not all that good of a run blocking team, contrary to what many doogs say. The common mantra with them is we were good at run blocking, but couldn't pass block. The truth is, we were terrible at pass blocking, and average (at best) at run blocking. We also average only 4.0 yards per carry, which ranked 80th. I know sacks hurt the ypc average, but it still isn't all that great. Our attempts were 70th.

Doogs like to say Sark runs the ball because we run the ball slightly over 50% of the time, but being ranked 70th in rushing attempts shows that is not entirely true.

It's worth noting that UW was 51st in passing attempts, but only 78th in passing yards. When you can't run or pass very well, does it really matter which type of plays you call?

you can't judge improvement by looking at key stats or the W/L record.

Truth. You can only judge improvement by measuring the blown wins without considering the gifts you received along the way.

I still think running the ball more often would have helped the passing game. It would have kept us out of third and long's where we were fucked because of a piece of shit OL and WR's who couldn't get open downfield.

Sark is a worse OC than HC. There simply is zero excuse this year not to have a top 25 offense.

I would never state our offense is even good. I've never been a fan of Sark's offense. I have a problem with using your All-American TE as a blocker while you send two 5'10 WR's into the same zone, resulting in your QB launching it to the track. Not really difficult to cover two WR's with any defense you choose to run. I've witnessed better route combinations at local pop warner games.

My contention all along is that the mix of pass and run is just about right. Those that want us to run the ball down the throats of our opponents every play of the game, haven't taken a good look at our OL.

The Offense should have been turned over to Nussmeier.

Those that think our OL is not far better at run blocking than pass blocking aren't watching the games.

    Play to your strengths.

I do love that line "If Coons makes those kicks we are 9-4!!!!" nevermind all the lucky wins Sark has received.

Statistically Sark has been lucky to be 26-25. UW has water down their OOC under his regime plus the Pac-12 added Utah and Colorado who Sark is 4-0 against instead of playing ASU/UCLA who he was 1-3 against.

This offense has no identity at all. There isn't one thing this team does great. Every year under Sark in the three phases of the game at least two have been shitty and one was average.
