Softy and Baird seem to be tied for the lead right now with Elise/Jerry one vote behind them.

I see today is Softy's b-day it would be wrong if someone sent him a link to this topic for his birthday.

Dick Baird said on air that he didn't think coaches should ever be fired. I don't know how it can get worse than that.

However, Softy gets the silver medal after stressing that willingham should get a fourth year, and then "bravely" calling for his dismissal when the axe was already falling. To his credit (I guess), he did say that defending willingham was his "worst ever moment on air," but it was still too little too late.

What's worse is I have no idea when he said it and for which coach. His drunken ramblings of defending whoever the coach is always blend together.

I remember after the Baylor game he stated not to fire Holt but instead to make him a Co-DC.

I have never listened to Elise, Puckett, Brewer, and Akbar. Dick Fain's name looks familiar, but I can't recall how good or bad he is either. I can't imagine them being as bad as Softy, Baird, and Hugh, but they have votes, so they must be pretty bad.

The only guy on the list that has some talent is Mitch, although I haven't listened to him for a few years. I don't always agree with him, and he's not the most knowledgeable guy about local sports, but he is an entertaining on air personality. He is also a good interviewer, and he gets good guests. I used to really enjoy his weekly segment with Beano Cook.

I actually like Mitch but put him on here because some people seem to hate him. I think Mitch is the only guy worth a shit on KJR personally.
    This.

He's the only one that seems to enjoy local sports, but isn't in bed with any of them so he's willing to call bullshit rather than suck up to coaches and never be critical of their performance therefore most doogs hate him.

Fain and Softy are just slightly more sober versions of Baird; living in the magic snow globe where it's all good. Fain was on the air defending Tyrone right up to the week he got fired, that alone should tell anyone that he doesn't know jack shit about anything.

What's the only thing worse than Elise? Jerry Brewer so great call putting them both on the same show. The only purpose they serve is to make Ian Furness listenable or maybe bump the ratings at 710 or 1090. Elise and Jerry are just terrible, I'd rather listen to Groz and Gas talk nascar than that incoherent mess.

Mitch was the only one who was against Ty then was against Holt as well. You are right that Doogs hate him. They always bash on him on Softy's page. I like Mitch and respect his opinion.

Softy is just an obnoxious fan who kisses the ass of the UW department. He will never question a UW coach or AD while they are employed. He has no problem bashing on the players though. His annoying laugh is terrible too.

As for Elise if Seattle wasn't so PC she would have been kicked to the curb years ago. She failed at the night slot, she failed at the 3 p.m. slot and I'm going to assume she's failing at this slot as well. Brewer I don't mind his opinions but his voice and lack of personality is terrible.

KJR is a mess and I really hope 710 picks up UW sports when their contract runs out.
Wow, I didn't realize Elise had moved around so much. Women just don't belong on sports radio or in most rolls on any sort of sports broadcast. It's like putting straight men on The View. It's awkward and it doesn't work. But it is Seattle so all the PC morons probably think its great. The same people go to Storm and Husky women's basketball games to prove how progressive they are, not because its entertaining.

Yea they've given Elise every opportunity to succeed and she just can't do it. She's just terrible as several others on here have pointed out. She stutters a lot with the ummmmm hummmmm inbetween statements. Then her annoying laugh is bad.

Like I said in most cities she would have been kicked to the curb but not PC friendly Seattle.

I have to agree. I know that's not the pc or correct way to think, but it is what it is. Whenever I hear a woman announcer on ESPN announcing a football or basketball game, it is always evident how bad they are.

well we were talking sports radio hosts... But in regards to football games, nobody wants to hear a woman broadcast the game. As I've said before, it would be like Hulk Hogan broadcasting women's ice skating. It would be distracting.

There's a local radio show that has some shrill woman who jumps in all the time and opines. I mean she interrupts and is really pushy. Luckily she isn't on every day.
