Harbog 1st year: 13-3. Harbog 4th year: 8-8. 1 NFC Championship, 2 Lost NFC Championships, 1 Lost Super Bowl. Eerily similar to his PAC record. 1 BCS Bowl win. 0 Conference Championships. No National Title Game appearances.

    Projecting ahead:

Michigan wins 8 games in his first season, plays in a Who gives a fuck bowl. Michigan plays in the conference title game second season, loses to Ohio State. Michigan wins conference title game in year three but loses in the first round of the playoffs. Michigan goes 6-6 in year 4 and some other dumbfuck team hires the great coach who never brings any hardware home.

    Holy fucking quook.

You are Section14afuckingretarded if you actually think Michigan goes 6-6 in year 4.

We'll see. Chances are Harborg will flee when that program starts going downhill, just like he fled the 49'ers. 49'ers went 8-8. You're riding his dick why?

Stanford wasn't going downhill. And taking a massive raise and promotion to the NFL isn't exactly "fleeing" Other than that, brilliant analysis.

Still waiting for an explanation of why the 49'ers went from good in year 1 of Jimmy's tenure to complete shit in year 4, and why that makes him a good coach. Oh wait, losing the Super Bowl counts for something, right? Just like never winning a PAC 10 championship automatically makes you one of the conference greats. Because we remember every team that lost the big game as time passes.

They weren't good before he took over. He made them good in year 1.

And a coach whose good enough to lose the Super Bowel is going to be a damn good college coach. Which, wouldn't you know it, his college track record demonstrates.

    This isn't difficult.

I'll help you out here because you seem unable to understand. 6 games a year against the NFC West >>> Big Ten conference slate, and it isn't even close. That Stanford won two conference titles after he left just shows the level that the program had reached. I'm not going to speculate how the yearly battles with Ohio State will go, as it may take a year or two to ramp shit up; but Michigan still has a lot of talent and it's fucking stupid to think Harbs won't get them back to the top.

Why you've got your cunt in a bunch over this is anyone's guess--whether it has to do with Hookery or Quookery--but either way it's ducking embarrassing.

You are retarded. So the same team Shaw coached a Fiesta Bowl with and Andrew Luck quarterbacked would have only won 6 games under Harbaugh? PLSS could have coached that team to 9 wins without meds.

You know you're wrong, and now you're grasping at straws to try and save face, but all you're doing is digging yourself a canyon.

Are you trying to create an argument that David Shaw saved the Stanford program?

Not every good coach succeeds in the NFL on their first go. It's like the upper echelon or something.

    See: Saban, Carroll, etc.
