Good Article. I am glad that there will be a decent alternative to Cyler if Miles doesn't prove to be improved after a full year of playing time and being coached in the Jonathan Peterman system.

He needs to use commas in certain spots, otherwise his readers will have a WTF? moment re-read... He also needs to learn how to use dashes with those long sentences, not just hyphens.

Troy Williams was the #1 dual threat QB out of high school. Miley was in the top 10.
Peterman needs to hire a QB coach.

I hate to break the "fuck Sark" circlejerk, but evaluating Sark on how his quarterbacks did in the NFL is fucking stupid. It's not his job to ensure his quarterbacks become good pro quarterbacks, it's his job to make them good college quarterbacks. He's mediocre in just about every aspect of coaching, but you'd have to have your head up your ass to not recognize that he's been an excellent quarterback coach at the college level. Since he started at USC back in 2003, his quarterbacks have been Palmer, Leinart, Booty, Sanchez, Locker, Price, and now Kessler. Out of that whole group, Locker was probably the worst, which makes that a pretty good resume.

TL, DR version: I don't like the way Miles throws, so I'm going to hope the guy that we haven't seen is going to be the starter. Jonathon Smith says he's doing well (what else would Smith say?), he passes the look test, and I saw Carta Samuels hit the bar four out of five times on August 12th. Miles only hit two and Lindquist hit three. Therefore, Carta Samuels is better and I'm on the bandwagon.

It's a useless, bullshit article. All of us know Carta-Samuels has a better arm than Miles. 90% of college QB's do. How is Carta Samuels going to do when he's not reading cue cards on scout team? How well does he know the playbook? How did he do after August 12th when you weren't there Lars? What are players on the team saying about him?

Miles sucked this year and we need better QB play, but as we saw with Troy Williams, just because Miles isn't good doesn't mean the back ups are better. Some fucking drill where Carta Samuels did well means nothing.
